Whether you are after breakfast, brunch, lunch or tea, Sandgate Cafe and Bar at the Queens Head has everything you would expect from a quality cafe-bar.
Known locally for its elegant interior and traditional wooden beams, the cafe is open daily from 10am - 6pm.
Sandgate Cafe and Bar is open seven days a week, 10am-6pm
On Sundays we will be serving a traditional Sunday roast from 12 -6pm. (please book if possible)

The restaurant is also available to book for private functions in the evenings, and we can cater for high-end events with up-market food
Having a steak in local products
We take selecting our seasonal produce very seriously. The Quality Assured beef that we serve in our restaurant is well hung for 21-28 days and matured (no steak knives are necessary). We source our beef from a local supplier and we strong believers in supporting local suppliers. We are part of the ‘Mouth of the Tweed’ who actively promote food produce within a 15 mile radius.
By working this way we have full traceability and can offer a real field to fork product.

All fish products are locally sourced. Our coastal location makes using fresh produce an important factor in our business. This adding to the restaurant’s long standing and well known reputation for the best seafood in town.
