at The Vines
The Vines is a wonderful setting to hold your wedding reception, offering you the chance to exclusively hire the entire hotel for your special day. We offer both indoor and outdoor spaces for hosting your guests, as well as the option to organize a marquee in our meadow behind the hotel.
Idyllic Cotswold Location
The Vines not only offers an idyllic Cotswold setting but the hotel is situated next to the charming St Mary’s Church of Black Bourton, a beautiful location for your wedding ceremony. The church can accommodate up to 150 guests and you have the opportunity to hire their professional organist and fantastic team of bell ringers.
The Vines is also a 5-minute drive from St Mary’s Church of Bampton, which features in the popular TV series Downton Abbey and can accommodate a congregation of up to 250 guests.
Wedding Reception
Our patio garden provides the perfect place to welcome your guests and enjoy reception drinks.
During the cooler months, your guests will be impressed with our circular pub bar and roaring log fires.
We will provide the bar staff and drinks for your wedding but you have the option to bring your own drinks if you wish. Please see The Vines Wedding Drinks Pricing Options.
Wedding Breakfast
Our dining room can comfortably fit 50-70 people for a sit-down dinner or up to 120 people for a buffet style celebration. Our dining area and bar are exclusively yours to style how you want. This beautiful space is easily adaptable to your taste and needs.

The Meadow
The Meadow to the rear of the hotel is available to you – proving a blank canvas for you to make truly your own. The flat terrain offers the perfect space for putting up a marquee or arranging an outdoor ceremony. Surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside and enclosed by a lining of trees, this area offers a private space for you and your guests to enjoy.

Please see Wedding Packages for venue and accommodation reservation options. The Vines has 23 hotel rooms; 6 within the Pub Building, 12 within the Annex House and 5 within The Cottage.
We offer a variety of packages from our All Inclusive Package where you can hire the entire hotel, to five flexible options which allow you to select which areas and rooms you would like to hire for your event. This tailor made approach has none of the rigidity of traditional wedding packages!
